Belarus ended an unpleasant four-loss streak across competitions in June when they stunned Kosovo 2-1 in Budapest.
They moved up to fourth place in Group I standings of the 2024 EURO Qualifications, jumping above Andorra and Kosovo as a consequence.
Despite the mentioned win, Belarusians decided to make a managerial change as Spanish coach Carlos Alos took over Georgi Kondratiev on the bench.
Alos will make his debut as a head coach of the Belarusian national team on Saturday afternoon in Andorra la Vella where the visitors will be looking to make it back-to-back wins.
Andorra are the weakest team in this section on paper and they do sit at the very foot of the table with just one point from four outings.
That beings said, Koldo Alvarez’s troops have offered a great resistance in the previous two narrow defeats to the likes of Switzerland and Israel, losing each tie with the 1-2 scoreline.
No team in this group have scored more than twice past the Andorrans which can be considered a decent success for Alvarez and his troops.
Knowing that Belarus are by no means known as an elite attacking unit, we have reasons to expect a low-scoring scenario on Saturday at Estadi Nacional.
Andorra’s back line functioned well in the June matches against Switzerland and Israel. However, we struggle to find the value in backing the Under 2.5 goals FT pick at the 1.53 odds.
Instead, we will shoot for the away win as the main betting option at the 1.85 odds knowing the visitors possess more quality in their roster and knowing their players should be more motivated to shine under new manager. We will also take the attractive 2.20 odds for Belarus to score two or more goals on Saturday.
