AC Milan terminated their four-game winless streak across competitions in some style, by bagging four unanswered goals past sovereign Serie A leaders Napoli last Sunday away at Stadio Diego Armando Maradona.

It was one of the best performances I Rossoneri have shown all season and it was just Stefano Pioli’s squad needed ahead of the important Champions League quarterfinal fixtures against the same rival.

At the same time, AC Milan broke back into the top-three in the Serie A standings, clinching a very important three-pointer in the battle for the Champions League spots next season.

I Rossoneri will have a nice opportunity to back up the aforementioned success on Sunday evening when they host bottom-half Empoli in Gameweek No 29 at Stadio Giuseppe Meazza.

Empoli will also enter the tie in high spirits as they have terminated their eight-game winless thread on Monday evening, beating Lecce 1-0 at Stadio Carlo Castellani.

Head coach Paolo Zanetti can be thrilled with the defensive performance his men have put up on the occasion, limiting Lecce to five shots in total, none of which went on target.
